The Difference Between Therapy &
Coaching

and healthy and not have a problem and work with a Coach.
- Coaching does not
focus on the past, it focuses mostly on your present and future.
- Coaching works with
“how” and not “why”.
- In coaching we may
give more information, directions or instructions. Coaches are resources.
- We may share more from
personal experience.
- Coaching has been
called a new form of consulting and the coaching relationship is a
partnership.
How It Works
- During a free half hour consultation you
will have a mini-coaching session and learn more about coaching and each
other.
- Meetings take place on
the phone or in person.
- Together you will
explore and identify what you want and determine your goals.
- Your coach will always
customize the approach based on your needs and will elicit strategies
and solutions from you, for you.
- Your coach proposes
action plans and suggests resources specifically designed for you.
- Your coach listens and
gives objective feedback.
- Using different
techniques your coach will help you change behaviors or habits you want to
leave behind.
- Through weekly or
periodic meetings you will work together and receive ongoing feedback and
support from your coach.
- Charges may be by the
month or by the hour
